Central Recording Station (CRS)

The CRS:

Is powerful and easy to use. Audio, sign text, route and stop structures, data collection options, and more are all easily created and managed. Microsoft's Windows XP operating system is utilized both for its power and for its familiar graphical user interface.

Uses reliable PCMCIA cards for audio and data storage. Credit card sized PCMCIA cards offer a reliable and inexpensive method of storing audio, route information, and collected data.

Provides time-sensitive announcement capability. Timed announcements can be scheduled to play at specific times, dates or days of the week, or relative to a particular stop. This allows special audio announcements and/or sign information to be strategically presented to onboard riders.

Easily integrates digital quality voice, music and sound effects. Stop announcements recordings are easy to produce in-house with the CRS, or Digital Recorders, Inc. can have one of our professional voice talents make the recordings for you. And because the CRS utilizes industry standard sound formats with non-proprietary hardware, it can use voice recordings, music, and sound effects from a wide variety of commercially available sources.

Can implement password protection. Password protection for both the Talking Bus® system and the CRS can be enforced. When used in conjunction with the Schedule Adherence Module, individual operator performance can be monitored.

Includes on-site training and telephone/fax support. One full day of on-site training and complete manuals are included with the purchase of the CRS. Telephone and Fax support is also available during regular business hours, and is free for 90 days after the first call.
